I have an '87 YJ with approximately 130K miles on it. It's the 4.2L 258 with a Howell fuel injection system on it. It is mated up to a 5 speed NV3550 transmissions out of a 2001 TJ and a NP231 transfer case out of the same TJ. It is black in color with a chrome grill and has a Bestop Sunrider soft top and full hard doors. Below are some of the add-ons:

- 2.5" Rubicon Express Extreme Duty Lift Kit (Professionally installed)
- 2" Body kit
- 32" BFG ATKo's on black AR767 wheels
- Bestop Sunrider soft top (front part goes back as does the whole top)
- Smitty Built nerf bars professionally welded to the frame
- Warn XD9000i winch with a winch plate
- Ford 8.8 rear axle with a limited slip 4.11 gearing (professionally installed)
- Dana 30 front axle 4.11 gearing (professionally installed)
- Skid Row Engine Skid Plate
- SYE conversion with a heavy duty rear drive shaft.
- Spare stock driveshafts.
- Custom made roll cage (needs to be painted)
- Custom rear tire carrier
- Posi Lok 4X4 system (no more vaccum to rely on)
- Borla Headers
- MSD Ignition
- Hi Lift with hood mount
- Rear bench
- Radio with CD Player
- Soundbar with Infinity speakers
- Cobra CB Radio installed into the roll bar and antenna mounted on the tire carrier
- Full Soft Doors and Full Hard Doors
- Brand new radiator installed at the end of the summer
- New steering shaft installed at the end of the summer
- New Heater Core installed last winter
- Others too, I just can't think of everything now.

I have a bunch of spare parts in my parents house in Queens, where the Jeep is located. It drives great and performs great off road. The frame is in pretty good shape with minimal rust and the body is in pretty good shape with some rust in the floor boards. I have a can of herculiner and was planning on doing some welding of sheet metal and herculining but did not get around to it. I would throw the Herculiner in too.

If you are interested, please contact me at hatzq68@aol.com.

I have pics of the jeep and could send them or if you want we can make up a time and you can see the Jeep.

Thanks.

Donny

Hey Donny,
I know your thread is over a year old now, but I have a few questions for you.

When you mated the NV3550 to the 258-six, did you keep the 258 flywheel or did you switch over to the 4.0L flywheel?

If you kept the 258 flywheel, did you just reuse or use a TJ clutch setup?

If you switched to the 4.0L flywheel, did you just bolt it up to the 258 and go?

The reason I'm asking is that my 304 stroker engine was internally balanced and I used 258 flywheel for break-in (on stand) and dyno time. I have an NV3550 from a 2000 TJ that will be going in my Jeep GW and have discovered that the 258 vs. 4.0L flywheel depths are different by 0.25" from the crank flange to the disc surface.

I'm curious as to which flywheel you ended up running. Thanks for the feedback.

BTT, I need to get this out of my parents driveway. I'll take the best offer over $4,000 for it. Let me know if you are interested at hatzq68@aol.com.
