I would go outside and do this myself but my truck is 100mi away right now :p

I have a 91 k1500 with a 4" lift with 33x12.5 mickeys on 15x10 mickey rims. If anybody has a setup similar to mine (width) and could measure it, i would appreciate it!

Also, if you have a plow on your 88-98, how wide did you go? I want to get either an 8 or an 8.5 but want to make sure it will plow a swath wider than my truck before I drop $$ on one.

Thanks!

for driveways 8' or 7.5' would be good, for small roads 9'

IFS trucks kinda suck for snowplows. If I was gonna put a plow on one I would get the lightest one possible. You can get the add on wings for plows . Run braces back from the plow frame to the middle of your truck frame too.

yeah, its a 1/2 ton. I was worried about the overall width of my truck being wider than the plow swath, but sounds like lightest is bestest!

the track width I'd guess is around 6 1/2 feet of the truck. A 7 1/2ft plow (straight) would still lay some snow under a 7 1/2ft width as some snow "falls" back into the path.....and with the plow angled.....even less width of a cleared snow path. Do you just not want to run over your tracks or?

Whoops, just re-read the fact that you 15x10 and 33/12.5 Mickey's...probably a good amount of + offset on those wheels...yeah, you're a tad wider than a stock chevy so my #'s are narrow. Just clean up your tracks on the next pass.
