JParuBob 07-08-2002, 08:38 AM KPJ,
I was wondering about the setup you're running on your jeep... I PMd you, but you haven't responded... So, I thought I'd try this... I was trying to figure out how you were running the subaru AWD drivetrain... Any info you have is appreciated...

preach 07-08-2002, 03:39 PM I do know a little...
Rockkrawler 6.5" fronts
Clayton LAs
13" travel DT3000s ???
rears are S shaped and will be gone soon
33" Thornturds but I guess he just ordered 36 SXs???
I dunno...I'm a CJ guy that takes all of kpj's discards when he upgrades for my daily driver XJ.
Oh yeah...he just picked up an old d300 from me and ordered the flip kit so he's got something in the works. He's an auto now but I know he has a 435 kicking around plus a few other goodies.
JParuBob 07-08-2002, 08:29 PM Well, the main thing is I'm wondering how he's running the Subaru drivetrain... I own an older 85 4wd wagon, and I know that the drivetrain normally has equal length halfshafts... So I'm wondering how he pulled it off... That's the main thing...

Holy crap you were serious about the suby drivetrain???
Wow...
Ummm he runs stock Jeep XJ man. I thought you were pulling his leg.

Archie_G 07-09-2002, 10:16 AM You mean that you actually believed his sig
94 Cherokee, 1.3L from a Suzuki, swapped in SR-4, an all wheeldrive drivetrain from a Subaru, and 38" turds. Got Rocks?
:D
schuss 07-09-2002, 11:55 AM  :flipoff2:
Tim98TJ 07-09-2002, 11:59 AM It wheels just about as good as a Suby. :flipoff2:
JParuBob 07-09-2002, 12:36 PM Aight fawkers :flipoff2: course I believed his sig... Nothing there to indicate it was a lie :flipoff2: ... I've seen a subaru brat on 33s... why not a swapped drivetrain???
guess i just have this to say to some of you fawkers
:flipoff2:
Archie_G 07-09-2002, 12:43 PM sorry man, all in fun. I guess you just have to know Ken (kpj), nothing against you, more that we are picking on him. Wait till he gets back from his work trip, boy is he going to get it :D
4Bangler 07-09-2002, 12:50 PM All silliness aside, did anyone see the Junkyard Wars episode where they stuck a front wheel drive car drivetrain onto a Land Rover chassis sideways and used the left and right outputs as front and rear driveshafts? Okay, it's completely :rainbow:, but it get's you thinking.......talk about wacky drivetrain swaps!
