Seeing as my ac is not being used I was going to "eliminate" it, my Q is the ford motorsports bracket says it doesn not come with the pulley - where do you get the right pulley then?

You don't need to replace anything, just remove the AC bracket completely and route the belt as it would be on a non-AC equipped engine.

you get a shorter belt and eliminate the pulley

I don't think I can remove the bracket (it holds the PS pump too) but I suppose I can remove the pump and get a different belt, thanks for the link - I'll read it now :)

from that link

"Note that the AC compressor can not be bypassed, by a belt. However when the AC is off, the pulley has no drag and requires virtually no power to turn."

Belt routing for cars with the Ford AC eliminator bracket, whereby the power steering pump is reloacted to where the AC compressor was. Note in this system you cannot by-pass the power steering pump.http://www.fordmuscle.com/archives/2000/02/quicktips/belt4.gif

So back to my first question, with the ac eliminator bracket where do I get the right pulley? ;)

you might want to think about running OB air or a welder in its place. I have a xena welder in place of my AC.

eventually I will probably run real a/c but for now I just wanted to clean up the engine compartment if it was an easy thing..

No i don't know where to get the pully either
But my friend with his 5.0 mustang, just cut the bracket above the PS pump, and got a new belt, made it look nice too

The bracket which is market by Ford Motorsport doesn't have a pulley, because all it does is move the P/S pump up into the position where the A/C compressor used to be. The P/S pump replaces the A/C compressor and the belt routing is changed relative to the crankshaft and water pump. See the drawings from the Fordmuscle site. I actually made the top three drawings back in like 1998. I ran the Ford Motorsport A/C eliminator, with the belt routed similarly to the 70.5" drawing, for many years. Belt length was about 74" with the FMS eliminator, if I remember correctly. I actually still have the eliminator and am not using it, if anyone was interested.

You can also get aftermarket A/C eliminators from many places which leave the P/S pump in the stock location and have a pulley that's the same diameter as the stock A/C compresor.

Do you already have OBA? I was gunna toss my A/C pump (used it as in idler for a year), but then thought Y not Air compress it. Its bin running strong for about 3/4 years now as an air pump. I didn't know if it would last long, but since they are so cheap to replace when they do go, Y not.
