Well I have in my barn a 92 sidekick auto and an 88 sami. Both are ok condition but the kick has a blown head gasket. I was thinking of pulling the 1.6 and building it for the sami. Then I planned on parting it out or just plain gettin it out of my way. So while I am at it, what all do i want for my sami? I came up with engine (i assume i need the wiring and computer cause my sami is carb'd), power steering, and maybe seats. Anything else? Oh and i should add that i already have toys for the sami build.

Is 92 the first year of sidekicks? If so there is a chance of a 1.3 being in there, check it closely. Other than that keep the diff gears and the rest of the drivetrain.

1.3 was in the first 1989 models. 1.3 was replaced later with 1.6 that year.:homer:

Front diff carrier for the gears, the locking hubs, rear axle, I pop the 3rd brake lights onto sammies too, brake discs I think swap, the calipers and brackets may be useful, any metric hardware you can remove and save can save your butt in a jam.

he said he has toy axles for it so the thirds and brake stuff are useless. I second the power steering.

92's seemed to be a bastard year. Most ECM's wont interchange with the 92 1.6. Just a heads up for future reference.
