KOH!
Well Eddie and I made it! We had a lot of obstacles but we finished I heard 24 or 26 out of 44 starters. We were the last to cross the finish line, everyone else DNF'd. They gave up. We drew a 17 at the start line, by mile 23 we were in 4th place and running well, except for over heated P.S. We had the helicopter following for quite a while, that was exciting. Then while putting my "C" collar back on I hit a really sharp, large rock in the middle of an open sand wash. I blew the right front tire and broke the Pan Hard arm bracket, after two welding jobs we were moving. Then the fuel injection started acting up. At some point we cracked the front diff. cover and were loosing gear oil, smashed Eddies custom exhaust. The front ARB line broke ended up frying the compressor, it seized, then after it cooled down a hammer fixed the compressor, we fixed the front air line and were on our way, . We kept going then after the last check point we lost the T case, and limped it home in first gear. Our greeting at the finish line was incredible! We were the only full size, full bodied, street legal licensed car to finish. Not to bad for what Jeepers call a Grocery getter!
Thanks Eddie for letting me destroy your new very nice car.....
I know where there is a slightly used D90 for sale if anyone is interested!
