: I think I bent my XJ
Monkeyboy 07-08-2002, 02:57 PM not my rockers not my dana 30.
My dana 35 was already bent.
I'm talking about my whole fawking jeep.
I think I bent it.
Some of the death wobble has gone away though:rolleyes:
Scout Dude 07-08-2002, 02:59 PM Of course you bent it...
Now you need to wheel through the 'Con backwards so that it will bend back to normal:smokin: :rasta:
Monkeyboy 07-08-2002, 03:00 PM Hey now thats a thought :D
Jason R 07-08-2002, 03:19 PM Hey as long as it gets rid of the death wobble its all good.
O yea and PICS!! haha...
I noticed it driving in front of him, lookin in the mirror theres definatley a LOT more of the passenger side visable than the drivers side. Standing in front of it has the same effect. we need to bust out the tape and measure it dude :)
aaronlosey 07-08-2002, 04:26 PM you just think that cause ya saw a bunch of post about putting sub frames under your rig :flipoff2:
kinda curious though, do your doors still shut?
Monkeyboy 07-08-2002, 04:32 PM The doors are kinda goofy now.
I really really bent one of those frame rail look alike things under my jeep what do I do now?
body on frame ;)
screw sub frames. Lets cut off the "uniframe" and replace it with a real one :D
Monkeyboy 07-08-2002, 04:43 PM Howbout I finish my CJ er um buggy.

Do you really want to know how bad it is? If you measure it, then when Todd goes to sell, he'll have to disclouse the info. What he does not know won't hurt him.
We could also try some at home frame straight'n. Rig with a winch on each corner, pull baby pull :nuke:
Rubicrawler 07-08-2002, 07:29 PM Hell Todd, the biatch got you home, didn't it? Keep runnin' it and it'll straighten itself out again :) Do you think your speed run from Loon to Ellis had anything to do with it?  I thought so;)

So if he runs the trail backwards, at the same speed, would it straighten him out?:flipoff2:
Monkeyboy 07-08-2002, 10:46 PM If I bend the other side I will gain more ground clearance and my tires will stick out evenly again.
I'll have to see if my dana 35 can hold up to some more 20mph runs through the trail :D
seRob 07-09-2002, 12:33 AM damn... that didn't take long. Didn't you just buy that thing a month ago???
:flipoff2:

sure.. as long as you are trying to kill that D35, it'll probably be as strong as a D60. LOL.....
It'll break in a mall parking lot.. just watch.
Monkeyboy 07-09-2002, 09:25 AM Nope I bought it a few years ago but just recently started to really wheel it.

Brandon 07-09-2002, 11:47 AM my jeep drives sideways, makes for good conversation LOL
Spank 07-09-2002, 02:43 PM My dog walks sideways like that. It's like his ass is trying to get there before he does.
Trango 07-09-2002, 03:15 PM Look at the paint really well - it should have ripples or a "bent" reflection in it. I mean, it SHOULDN'T, but if the "frame" isn't straight, then neither will be the body. And if the body ain't straight, you'll see the telltale marks in the paint.
Bob
4Bangler 07-09-2002, 03:19 PM You're assuming that you can see a reflection in his paint, I haven't seen any reflection in my paint for two years, until last weekend when I finally broke down and had it painted, not sure if I like it or not.

Then you're also assuming that his body isnt already all bashed up
boz88xj 07-09-2002, 04:45 PM Hmmm old XJ with reflective paint? I dont think so... Unless you consider chipping clear-coat "reflective".
Monkeyboy 07-09-2002, 04:53 PM HAHAHA
12 year old Chrysler paint shine BWAHAHAHA
The shit barely shines when it is wet. :flipoff2:
Is my jeep bent if the spaces in the door jams are way off.
Is it bent if The floor at the drivers side feet is bubbled up and I can make it pop like the lid of a Snapple bottle only with a deeper thunking tone :D

WillisXJ 07-09-2002, 06:32 PM My XJ dog legs too. I think it was hit before I got it. The rear backrest is 'U' shaped (ok, not U shapped, but bent), and it's been repainted. People sure comment on it a lot!!

Well yea people comment, who paints there rear backrest?
jeepnmatt 07-10-2002, 12:05 PM i would take it to my friendly local auto body repair shop and ask them to check it out. if its bent, they will be able to throw it on the frame-rack and pull it back. i would guess it to cost you anywhere from $150 to $300.
matt
Monkeyboy 07-10-2002, 12:15 PM You sayin that I should put my Heep on the rack at my buddies shop and ask him to get me my deathwobble back :D
4Bangler 07-10-2002, 12:15 PM Nah, just run it, good conversation starter with the ladies "Q:Why is your truck crooked? A:From so much funky lovin' in the back seat baby" That's bound to work, course, I've never been that good with the ladies.
Monkeyboy 07-10-2002, 12:32 PM I like the way the Soccer MILFS give me the stink eye when I pull up next to them in my No more sport having Utility vehicle.
I know they want me.

A trip through the box should fix it, or the Friday evening wheeling to find Scout Dude and Rockslut will also take care of it.
