Nice! They have one sitting in a local shop here in town. Guy said its been there 2 years. Wanted $575 for it. I asked if he wanted to get rid of it by coming down on the price and he lowered it to $525. I think I'll wait another 6 months and see if he wants to go lower.

Good choice. It should shoot just as well as my SP01 does, and that's well indeed. Check out this board:

And for upgrades, accessories, etc.

There is a link at the cz forum to a guy selling stainless steel guide rods too, I would upgrade it just cause I hate plastic parts in my pistols. They don't make a CZ75/SP01 one though.

Congrats on the purchase, looks to be a good choice for what you were wanting to do. So now all ye have to do is move to MT so ye can use it when you want to... :D :D

How much did you end up getting it for?

i paid $550 for it. NIB with 2 mags and all the stuff (box/cleaning tools, etc)

I read about pricing being lower in other states in the U.S., in the $480-500.oo range, but of the 3 shops in san diego, this was the lowest price.

not sure how that works?

just supply and demand, maybe? anyways, Its worth it to me. I've done a ton of research and feel great about the money spent.

its one of those pass it on to my grand-son/daughter type of guns, IMO. :)

I'll be using Corbon's DPX 115gr for a defense round, most likely, but I'm gonna go get a nice value pack from Walmart of Remington rounds for $40 bucks to have fun with it.
