AggieLR 07-08-2002, 03:34 PM my old lady's 81 K-5 is running like it has a missfire at highway speeds, i've replaced the vaccum advance and the cap and rotor, plugs all look good wires are fairly new, but not ruling them out, does anyone else have any idea's that i could try, it is a 350 w/ HEI dist., possibly the carb? AggieLR 07-08-2002, 03:45 PM well she made a 3 hour trip w/ it and it didn't start till about the last 30 min, and then it kinda does it sparatically while driving, it also does it worse when acceletrating, i don't know if this would have any effect, but it has a 242 cam, so i don't know if i need a mechanical advance or not either AggieLR 07-08-2002, 04:03 PM come awn, no other random ideas, this has never happened to anyone else?
