: NP205 mounting ?

Do NP205's have a torque bar mounted from the side of the t-cast to the frame? Took a 205 out of a 76 Blazer to swap into my cj, the Blazer didn't have one on it. A buddies 203 had one, not sure about 205's. Thanks for any info.

I know an 80 1/2 ton came with one, I have the bar on the side of the house.

Yes some 205's do have a 2 bolt L brace on the passenger side that attaches to the frame.

SOME DO SOME DONT THE BOSS SHOOD STILL BE THERE YOU CAN DRILL AND TAP WE HAVE STARTED BUILDING TUBE CROSS MEMBERS AND HARD MOUNT TO ADAPTER AND 2 BOLTS ON THE CASE THEN MOUNT BUSHINGS AT FRAME THIS HAS STOPET ADAPTER BREAKAGE FOR US.HOPE THIS HELPS

That boss with the 2 holes was cast there to support the overhead crossmember (versus the under the case member) as seen in vehicles like the IHC trucks. Just my guess, but Chevy probably threw that torque rod in as an after thought. The holes were there and they figured they'd use them.:beer:
In some applications, the overhead crossmember might work out real slick.

I think most of the autos had them.My wives '79 did.I don't think you really need it.
