I posted to see what people in the Jeep forum thought of the Eaton eLocker and it looks like no one (or very very few) has/have run them. That being said I know a ton of you run them because they are OEM for the H2 and H3. I am trying to find out how strong the unit is and if it can handle hard abuse in the rocks.

So what say the Hummer crowd?

This Hummer owner has been through one already, and anxiously awaiting the ARB front and rears which will be out in about a year.

"Hard abuse on the rocks" is always up for interpretation. What trails do you run?

I think mine broke in Moab, but subsequently still ran Rubicon and Fordyce. It would lock occasionally, but didn't always work in the really tough stuff.

Somewhere around here I have pics of the worn down pins, they look like finger tips, :D

I wheeled pretty hard for about 60K miles before she finally had enough. Got a new one under warranty :flipoff2:

I have been to Tellico three times and various relatively unknown off-roading venues. I have never once had a problem with the locker in my H2. I have also never heard of a problem with one in an H2 after being on several forums for a couple of years. I run 37x12.50 Cooper STTs FYI. I have heard of issues w/ them in a very few H3's

I've had mine replaced as well. Although it was replaced under warranty and I never got to see exactly what condition it was in.

anxiously awaiting the ARB front and rears which will be out in about a year.

There is already an ARB that will fit the rear.

I have an 8.8 and I run rocks in CO and UT to answer your Qs. The reason I am posting is to find some more current info on the unit because there was little to nothing said in the last year.

On another note, the warranty is only a year on standalone units so it does not look like the unit is good without the OEM warranty.

My brother ran one in his '99 F150 8.8 for quite awhile. No problems, he broke the EZ locker I gave him and replaced it the E locker. Maybe 60k miles or so, and some fairly solid wheelin with 35"s prior to stripping it back to stock and buying his S10
