were there any half ton chevys that came with a solid front axle?

chevy 1/2 ton 4wd's had solid front axles all the way up to around 87 IIRC

thanks, im thinking of building a s10 so im thinking half ton axles should be fine

ive read/seen alot of people that use the axles from a fullsize Jeep Wagoneer/Grand Wagoneer as they are very close to the same width as an S-10

i might have to look at that way to i was just lookin at the half ton chevy for the ease of running a 305 or a 350 and im kinda a chevy man and im 17 so i kinda got a tight budget
