My headlights and my lights on the front of my YJ craped out this evening before coming to work.

I found a relay under the hood that was really hot but I dont know if that is the problem or not.

I checked the ground connections and I checked some other stuff but I am perplexed. No blown fuses and no other apparent problems.

Where is the headlight RELAY?? and how does it work?? how does that dimmer work??

Anyone have any advice I have to have my lights tomorrow night to drive to work.

The relay should be under the hood with the other relays. If I remember right, it is on the passenger side next to the battery in a black box.

I had the same thing happen on my '91 YJ....turned out to be a bad dimmer switch (on the turn signal stalk). Try playing around with it a little, it may kick on for a bit......or just replace it

Dimmer on the turn signal stick... on a YJ? Don't think so.

Use a volt meter (not an idiot light) and a schematic. Start at the lights and work your way back to the fuse ... 12v to Gnd.

I think he means the brights/dims switch, not the interior lights dimmer on the dash, but anyway, I had similar problems while running my brights for extended periods of time, dims would work fine, but the brights would cut out. The brights relay is between the stereo and the glove box, behind the dash, not too hard to get at, and worth checking.
