: Dana 300 CV

Can anyone tell me why I can't use a splicer part # 2-4-2461X for hooking up a CV shaft, I know you are suppost to use 2-4-4341 but the 2461 Seems to fit ok and the bolt holes line up.. Any Ideas??

Just to update, Incase someone else ever wants the answer,
The hole are off my 1/16" so you can't bolt it up.. Dam, I guess I will just have to spend another 55$ to get the CV Ver.

Like I said before, just use the front yoke off of a XJ 242 t-case. That will bolt right onto a D300 front or rear and is a 1310 Yoke.

...And will fit the later model (fine spline outputs) dana 20 t case as well...just in case any one else is putting a cv on their 20. Only reason I found this out is I just swapped ax15 / dana 300 into my cj7 so I could move the t18a / dana 20 into the new trail rig (cj5). Had to use a cv (old j20 front shaft) for the rear of the trail rig and am now trying to track down the same yoke (read cheaply ;0) that you are.

I pulled the cv yoke off my 88 242 and it was larger dia. with i think (if i remember) 30 or 32 spline.

The 242 yoke fits fine. The dana 300 has the same yokes front and rear and also it is the same as D44 and M20 Pinion yokes. Also the 242 yokes.

My 242 must have been a freak:confused: cause it didnt fit...I tryed just in case it wasd an optical illusion?? Oh yeah and niether will some of the m20's. The 242 i tryed came out of a 88 XJ 4L,aw-4 it was a 21 spline input maybe that had somthing to do with it???? Who khows but mine wouldnt fit.
