ok, I have a 94 yj with an 89 yj d35 under it. It is a non c-clip axle. My drivers side tire was wobbling, so I went to fix it. Changed to the spare, still wobbling, took the wheel and drum off, still wobbling. Pulled the axle shaft out and the bearing was shot. So i replaced it stuck it back in and it still wobbles. Any suggestions. I am thining bent axle, but cannot for the life of me find one that I wouldn't have to morgage the house to buy. I need help, this is my daily driver that is on stands in the garage.

And can I drive on it with this problem?
Thanks
Matt

Inner bearing race worn down maybe? If your tube is bent the axle should be hard to pull out. Did you check your wheel, hub area, what has play in it? even a bent housing the tire should still not wobble when it turns if the wheel bearing is seated correctly. It might be time for a Ford 8.8....

I agree that it doesn't sound like a bent housing. When you put the new bearing in, did you check for play?

If the bearing dried up it could have spun which isn't a good thing. That's a worse case scenario which would require a new housing. It isn't worth it to fix it.

Another consideration is that both of your axles are bent. I've had this happen before. The tire wobbled about 1" in either direction when rolling but there wasn't any play in the shaft.
