Well, I disassembled my 14 bolt after I noticed that my welded 14 bolt differentiated about a 1/4 turn of the tires. I welded it up the coloradok5 way...weld every other tooth on the side spiders and then reassemble. This stops the spiders from turning.
So, I figured that I broke a tooth or something. Well, when I pulled it apart, I was actualy supprised. It seems that the teeth of the larger side spider gears pressed into the welds and actually compressed them down in several places. This allowed the slop that I had found. So, I said "fawk it" and buzzed the holy shiat outta the whole thing and thereby made a full spool dealio thingy. So, it seems that the coloradok5 way didn't work for me...wonder if I needed to use a different wire:confused:
Next stop: the tranny!;)
