Here's me final question till I break something..shes all back together thanks to your guys help..anyway everything is working except my gas guage (it hasnt worked since I got the truck) . I repaired the wire that goes to the tank (whom ever had it before me let it sit on the exhaust :shaking: )..I know it has power because if I pull it off the ground the gauge goes AWOL and goes way past full. Im assuming its a sensor or something like that because I doubt both floats would get stuck on empty..Help..I need ideas on what to check out..thanks

I've seen both senders go bad on a dual tank truck. One of the POs (it was a buddies truck) had attempted to fix the leaky tanks and fucked the senders in the process. They like to go bad when they sit for too long with old gas or no gas in them.

EDIT: now that I think about it, I've seen this problem on both Chevy AND Ford trucks. And they were both diesels too...

I can't remember the exact numbers, but you can tes your sending units with an ohm meter if you have them out.

I think it's 0-90 Ohms isn't it?
