Has anyone ever routed their air cleaner inlet into their cab? I am curious as to if the smell of gas would be terribly strong. I plan to run PVC pipe into the cab then place a cone K&N filter on the end.
-Thanks,

probably just be really noisy. atleast you wouldn't get a lot of water in the engine! <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

I dont think odors would be a problem when the veh is running but when it is off and sitting I think the gasses from the fuel in the carb would gas out your cab.

Dude stay away from PVC as its highly flamable...try using steel with a small section of abs plastic to isolate the vibration...poly vinyl chloride is also sags under heating and most pvc is fairly thick as opposed to other forms of plastic like abs that the mfg use...thin holds less heat...also make sure you support it to help dappen the vib's......

What i thought about doing was putting a sleeve through the fire wall and sealing it in. Then using rubber couplers to connect the pipe to the sleeve to dampen vibrations. The reason i would use PVC is because it is readily available and easy to work with. Is it much more flammable than anything else under the hood?
Thanks,
