I dont have the cash for DOM or I would hit that up..
Any outher kind of cheap'er' kind of tuber/pipe I can use?
This rig wont be use for hardcore wheeling just some mud and small hills.
More of a trail rideing I guess you could say.

Keep reading and try and learn how each type of tube or pipe reacts to different situations.. Stress, impact, welding, bending...etc.

Personally, I would save my money for dom. But my first cage was built from Hrew. Electric weld is touchy though, You need to keep your seam to the inside of your bend.

There is alot of info out there... keep reading.

Why build a buggy then if you are not doing hardcore wheeling? A buggy is a ton of work for something that could be accomplished in a mildly built 4x4...

Having built a buggy chassis out of DOM let me tell you that the price of the DOM is a drop in the bucket compared to all the other expenses that go along with a buggy build.

But HREW and poop pipe are other options...
