I actually made some progress towards reclaiming my garage from the house project...

Installed this bad boy on Saturday to free up a ton of space in the garage:

http://ihsto.org/pirate/frontdoor.JPG

Today I cleaned the garage and organized crap for an honest 8 hours - the plan was to start working on these right away in morning...

http://ihsto.org/pirate/beadlocks.JPG

BUT - the garage was way more of a mess than I had planned, and I got side tracked about 100 times, I did manage to get all 4 tires off the Scout and loaded into the pickup for a trip to the tire store for a quick dismount. Didn't make it out of the driveway - but they are loaded...

I also cut a spot in one of the wheelwells to squeeze a gas can into the back of my Scout to avoid the fuel shortage issue from the last run. :shaking:

I spent the weekend repainting my kids rooms and getting ready for then to move back in with me on tuesday. I also worked on getting my garage cleaned out and ready to start back to work on my scout. The only problem is I cant find the keys.... I had them in Nov when I was home on R&R, and put them on the table the night before I went back to Iraq. But they were gone when I got back...Go figure. Maybe I am just high from the paint fumes. Been looking on ebay for a new welder in my spare time too, but cant seem to let go of the two grand to buy it. But some day soon, that Miller will be comming my.

We went and looked at some houses on Sat. Checked out the one with the 2400 sqf garage/shop. The family liked it but its an older house and will need some work. They are asking 185K House is 1800sqf, and the lot is 1/2 acre. Great view and super quite.

Today was yard work day.

I didn't get a chance to enjoy the weather this weekend because I was playing army. I did spend a little time in the garage last night but it was mostly spent cleaning all the winter crud off the floor and doing some maintenance on wifey's car.

Here was yesterday.
Yesterday, 3/2/2008 in GARDNER, KS
High Temperature: Actual: 71°F
Normal: 51°F

So it looks like the daughter and I will be getting some work done around the house today.

Fri- Went to ScoutBrokers place and held his hand through his spring over. His rig is gonna be sweet when its done. Maybe he'll post a pic...

Sat- GF's rig developed a shitty rattle while tuning the FI. Pull the valve cover, bent push rod. Replaced bent push rod. Get it all buttoned up, hook it all back up. Fucker wont run for shit now, bad idle, horrible knock out of the #6 cylinder(same cylinder as bent pushrod). Start pulling spark plugs. #6 plug is beat to shit. Put in another one, start it and let it run for a few seconds. Take it out, same thing, electrode is smashed into the plug. So, as far as we can tell, something fell into the cylinder/intake manifold when we were reinstalling the heads last month or something came apart in out brand new heads. A broken valve or something. Its so strange because I have been running the thing almost everyday for 2 weeks tuning it. Never made a noise. We stood around for the next hour deciding if we should #1 light it on fire, #2 push it into the river, or #3 use it as target practice.:shaking:

Sun- Test rode my new(to me) race bike. 99 YZ400 with a 426 top end. It already has all the gaurds and skid plates for GP/Dezert racing I want to do. I figure I'll run it for a year or two then step up to a new 450. Anybody want to buy my old bike, an 02 XR400? Also, learned how cats mate, shaved with a razor for the first time in 3 years, finished season 3 of Lost, and put together some customer bids.

My Scout moved under its own power for the first time in about 10 years. Grandpa parked it after his strokes, and I pushed it into the garge 3 years ago. Now come all the details....

Pulled the only two fender flares (in the back) off of Gay Scout. One side was real clean underneath. The other side is going to need some fairly extensive metal repair. Broke down some H1 wheels for the project truck. Worked on installing the ARB in the rear axle, but couldn't find my feeler gauge so I had to go buy a new one, but didn't get back to the axle. Maybe tonight.

Sun:
-Did household chores and went to the local wing shop to watch some of the race.
-Set up a deal to get 1979 Traveler this Friday.

Friday: I played a little show at a private party. It was the grand opening of a coffee shop. I set up my PA and invited a girl to open the little shindig. Very fun...

From there everyone went around the corner to a club for some drinking and dancing.

Saturday: Spent time with the girlfriend and such...

Sunday: Signed lease papers for a house...Moving in with the girlfriend

3 bdrm, 1-1/2 bthrm, two car gayrage. Large side yard with double swing gate (full wood fence).

Great thing is that I will probably be saving money doing this in the long run. We won't be going out as much, I won't have to pay RUSTOLEUMWHITE or a storage place to house my eventual tow rig...and I can now work on my Scout at any hour I want to...and in any weather.

Soooo Sunday I started the Scout again...

Going to be a long stressful month...

SUN- chilled with a headache from the night before. nothing really scout related

Trying to get the Scout ready for a trip next weekend. Added a brightlights kit, used a couple relays from my FI parts box, now I can see at night. Sealed up the rear of the Scout to keep the fumes out while making long trips.
Thanks to Jeff Ismail for hooking me up with the right stuff, no more smog headaches. Spent way to much time fixing my seats, better now then next weekend. Just burned up a ton of time fixing little stuff, and still not half way through the list. Had some FI issues the few days that burn up even more time. Is my winch installed NO!!

Bad idea..... Now where are you going to take all the hot chicks the rest of us expect you to be scoring with?? How can I live vicariously through a guy that now lives with his girlfriend?? We expect pictures of hot chicks --- this just isn't good for the rest of us....

Oh, congrats on the house and good luck! :flipoff2:

Non Pirate worthy:flipoff2: Putting in some relay's for bright headlights and did not want to run wires all the way up to the fire wall and back, waste of wire and no good spot left to mount them up there anyways. So I stuck them behind the drivers headlight.

Do you mean the 4.3 CPI with the 700R4 and the NP231/D300 with the B4R kit? Or the front and rear ARBs? Or the complete wiring harness swap from the 1992 Blazer so I can now see my taillights in the daylight. You were probably hoping I would mention the full roll cage built by that fag at TracTracTor? :flipoff2:Why would I mention any of that stuff when I have pictures of shiny green paint?:flipoff2:

Already on the list. Need to crunch some numbers first, an Atlas or Stak might be better in the long run.

All in for the HD outputs, Lo Max 4:1 and new bearings it was near $1,100, half the price of a fully loaded Atlas.

I'm more worried about case deflection... dont know if I need the 4.1 gears. that clark has a 7.1 first x 2.62 x the rockwells 6.72 = 125:1
a 4.1 would bump that to 195:1
