: Team Alpine Trail Gear
mtbrjon 03-03-2008, 10:38 AM If you haven't noticed Alpine has teamed up with Trail Gear as our main sponsor for the 2008 season!!:) We are stoked to have the opportunity to work with a company that has obviously dedicated itself to the Ftoy class more than any other out there. After watching and hanging out with their crew at several events, using their parts, seeing them continue to bring out new and innovative stuff we had to be a part of the team. Looking forward to a fun and successful season. Thanks Matt!
nice. mabey we should paint the ftoys to make them match?

Hobie is there a contact for the ftoy teams to buy the Krawlers?
I have a decent set and a brand new spare, but wouldn't mine one more new one to throw into the mix.
mtbrjon 03-04-2008, 06:29 AM good thinking. hey matt, i need some new krawlers!!!:D
Yea Matt i'm embarrassed to be seen on these slicks! Then to be denied on Back Door while my rig cleans it with ease. Oh the shame.:homer:

MT4Runner 03-04-2008, 07:53 AM I think there's something genetic that says the rig must now run Interco tires now that it's in the southeast!

Matt, you are so right, Krawlers are the tire. even after removing 100 pounds of shot from our tires we hooked up really well this weekend just running nitrogen.

Doesn't matter.....we know a good tire when we see it! :D Actually, the interco sticky is awesome. I have seen JRT do some crazy climbs with those tires, I just hate the way they look. I have run the Maxxis tire and Krawlers and they are all very good tires. I felt like the Maxxis tire was a little to soft though. My 2 cents.

I have recently driven both on the same trails on the same day and there's not much difference unless it's wet then my Intercos get the knod. However, if I have to pay for them, i'm getting which ever is cheapest unless the difference is very small then it's Intercos. Our Intercos are in great shape even after a year of abuse but we haven't seen any highspeed stuff. Hobie's on the other hand are pretty much shot. I'll have to replace them sometime soon.
