Who has what and what are the good and bad about what you have. I am spoiled. I have always worked at places that have the big nice sanders and I cant see paying that for one to use once in a while at home. I have lookad at the Jet combos and some of the deltas. What is gonna hold up to grinding metal? I know how to use one and not load it up bad, but dont want one of my buddies to crame something into one burn it up first thing. Looking to get something with a 6x48 belt cause i can get belts cheep through work. Help me deside before I buy a piece of junk.

i have had a wilton 6x48 belt/ 10" disc sander for a couple years now and it has worked great for me. sure you can stall it if you shove a thick piece of aluminum into it but if you know how to use it it works great.

this is the one i have: http://www.use-enco.com/CGI/INSRIT?PMAKA=890-0835&PMPXNO=3368274&PARTPG=INLMK32
