I've about wrapped up my power steering install. I have a P/S cooler, and the extra lines to hook it up. My plan was to shim the kick pump, and drill it out for more flow/volume, but I don't know where to drill.
I've read that once you shim the pump for pressure, you can/should drill out one of the holes/orifices by 1/32nd to allow for more flow through the pump. The extra pressure from the shim heats the pump without adequate flow, and that by drilling this out you gain more volume, hence quicker steering and a cooler/longer living pump.
Question of the day, which hole do you enlarge by 1/32nd of an inch? I'd be happy to supply pictures if needed. This is about all I have left to do before buttoning it up.
Thanks, Sky
