My brother is thinking about putting the 500 in his toy, what tranny and case do you use to make 4x4. do you make a t-case adapter and use the caddy tranny, or make a bellhousing adapter and use a th 350 or something?
Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks Robert
A caddy is a GM produt, just use the main shaft of a 4x4.

the caddy uses the Buick Olds Pontiac bellhousing bolt pattern which is slightly different than the Chevy pattern, adapter plates are available or you can use one of the other bellhousings. If you want an auto you are in good shape, if you want a manual you will have to have a bore machined in the back of the crankshaft for a pilot bushing.

and you will have to buy an expensive custom flywheel.

Just get the TH400 that bolted to it and call Advanced to get the adapter to your T-case
