Adjusting back lash is easy.
Jack the front end up and put on stands.
Loosen 5/8" nut on top of bux while holding the inner stud with a allen wrench.
Loosen the center stud until the steering has definate slack in it.
Then tighten it a 1/4 turn at a time until you feel the steering start to bind in the center of the steering arch (about where the tires would be facing straight forward)
Then back it off just a little at a time until you can barely feel any tightness.
After that tighten the 5/8" nut back down again while holding the stud so that it can't move.
You can start it and try it out now.

sweet dude thanks!!!!!! i will try that..hope it solves my problem..is there a possiblity that i bent something inside the box that would cause it to steer funny? or could it just be old age?
