Ok here is the skinny: Right now I have an awesome Toyota flatbed. Really happy with it, has it all........ARB's, Stuan's, Double Crawler case (205:1) etc, etc. You get the picture. Well there is a problem. I just had my first kid. So now the family is 3 in number. Toyota truck holds 2. Big problem. So I am going to sell it. I am going to build my wifes 2002 Jeep TJ that has a 4.0 and auto trans. Pukin 35 rear also. Granted the axles are on there way out. Here is what I need from you: Tell me how you would build it in order to have street legal yet awesome trail rig. If you want to get extreme that is fine, but I would like to know what the biggest practical tire size is on a 93" wheelbase. I want to keep the 4.0 and the auto. The T-case I am willing to swap, as well as the axles of course. Thanks for helping out a yota dude......

with a 93" wheelbase, i'd stick with 33's. don't lift it at all, just trim the fenders a hair. if you're gonna swap the tcase, put an atlas or stak unit in there. add a cage and whatever axles you want. sounds like you already know what works and what doesn't.

step one: get a red star. There are tons of 3 link threads. Poly performance also make a weld on kit that looks interesting. On another note, have you considered transfering your stuff to a 4runner.

I would say 35'' tires at the lergest with the stock wheelbase. I would throw some 60's or some hi-9's under it get a long arm, cage and some armor then wheel the hell out of it.

Wheel mine on 36" Iroks, but kept it low. Moving up to 39 Iroks with the same height, just loosing fender. Iy your looking to keep the budget in line build some 44s to throw under it and keep it light up top. I have several friends/customers running 40s on built 44s with little to no breakage. You just have to realize what it is, not hammer the shit out of it and keep it light.
