I searched and found a few of the old posts, but not what I was looking for. I am looking for a parts list of clutch components for an NP-435 swap into a four cylinder YJ. Thank you.

NP435 behind a 4 cylinder?

It seems like severe overkill, unless you want that granny first in a big way.

I've never heard of this swap, anywhere. I'll check it out and report back.

They both share the same input spline, so at least that part is taken care of.

I ran a grany trans SM465 with a four banger. The low gearing was great, still run it behind 4.3. There is no OD but if you run big tires you never see OD anyway.I have all the parts to run the SM465 but cant be much help with the NP 435.It is a good idea.Ck the Novak and www.high-impact.net web sites for good info.

Adapter plat from AA. A 10 in input shaft for the 435, and a clutch disc from a mid 80s turbo four cylinder mustang. I almost forgot the pilot bushing. I found one that matched the inner and had the outer turned down. BTW, I have an input shaft and adapter I will sale you if you are interested. Actualy I probably have a good pilot bushing and a disc I can throw in too.

Papabear, how much do you want for the adapter, input, clutch disc, and pilot bushing?

I have a good friend that is a machinist, so the pilot bushing is not a big deal if I had the dimensions.
Just double checking, the clutch disc is the only non-YJ part, correct?

I already have 5.89's in the axles.

Yes, I used the YJ pressure plate and throwout, the disc has maybe 8k miles on it. I'll be happy to help with any questions. I really liked it off road, the gap between gears is a little much on the road but the little fourbanger doesn't mind 5 grand too bad. I just recently swapped out the motor and tranny, only because I needed more wheel speed since I'm east coast.

What axle gears were you running with your 4 and the NP-435?

My educated guess would be to tinker with the tire size and get it "close enough". This will not be a daily driver, but with so many nice days a year here... :grinpimp:

Do you have any pictures of your cross member? The height of the NP vs. the ax-5 will make running a flat skid interesting. I have a 1 inch body lift. I am also running a 1 inch motor mount lift. I am not opposed to having the top half of that NP in the cab with me... :D

Thank you very much for all of your assistance Papabear. I will take the adapter and other assorted parts. I will contact you offline about it...

I should have some pics. I ran a flat skid except for right where the mount was, it dropped down about an inch. The tranny actually hung down below the skid a little. I had no body lift and the case was clocked up. I had to massage the floorboard a little, but it worked. I did run a one inch motor lift.
I ran 5.13s with 38.5. Last winter I drove it to a local spot about 95 miles away, probably 40 miles of interstate total. It does fine, the motor really doesn't mind the revs.
