: Back From The Start of My Ugly Divorce
Trailer Guy 03-05-2008, 03:12 PM It's a long story and involves three kids and an ex that believes she shouldn't have to pay for anything, even though we are 50/50. After months of crap, I might finally get a court date by the end of this week. Anyhow, I'm sure there will be a write up in The Trailer Park at some point soon.
The point of this thread is that I can come out of hiding now. She can no longer try to use my advice or sales threads to show that I'm making more income than I really make. Sounds stupid, but that's what has been going down for me for months now.
So to kick off my return to the board full time, I'll be starting up a few sales threads (brake controllers, tie-down kits, B&W products, Dexter axle parts, Firestone Airbags, etc.), giving people shit again, and trying to start to enjoy life a little bit all over again.
Oh yeah, who wants a giveaway? I do! I do! I do! I do!
Trying to put something in the works now, so shoot me some suggestions.
Anyways, I'll be around and look forward to the new changes Pirate is under. And remember, "Think like a pro and buy quality the first time."
Jeepskickass 03-05-2008, 03:41 PM Good to see you back, Aaron. Persevere, take the high road, and she'll get what she deserves in the long run.
How about a tie down giveaway? :D
Albin 03-05-2008, 03:45 PM Welcome back, Aaron!
Never Monday 03-05-2008, 03:52 PM Welcome back!!
a nice LED light kit for my big trailer would be a good give away

How about a tie down giveaway? :D
 I was willing to bet a months pay that a tie-down kit would be the first and most popular suggestion, but she gets the my money every month now. The tie-down pack is sitting at the top of the list.
It's good to be back, and WOW:eek:, there have been some changes. Is it still ok to call someone an asshat?
Hey Albin, good to see your typing again.
Trailer Guy 03-05-2008, 03:53 PM Welcome back!!
a nice LED light kit for my big trailer would be a good give away
Hey, that's not a bad idea. Like a couple tail lights, some markers, and of course, ICC light bar. All being LED's. That's going on the list of possible choices for sure.
2Dogs 03-05-2008, 03:56 PM Wow, sorry for the drama, hope your kids are OK.
Never Monday 03-05-2008, 04:06 PM ashat, dipshit...whatever, just don't call me late for Miller Time
Travis Waldher 03-05-2008, 04:27 PM I could use 60-80 some odd feet of G43? (5400lb?) 3/8" chain.
I think shipping would kill any deal you can offer though.

Miller? :barf:
Wow, sorry for the drama, hope your kids are OK.
Yeah, the kids are the worst part of the deal, that's for sure. They're getting through it, confused, but getting through it.

Mechanos 03-05-2008, 05:36 PM Things I can think of in addition to what's already been suggested:
Set of safety chains with the RIGHT hooks.
An electric break controller.
A new hitch (turn over ball, weight distrib, etc.)
A break away kit
A tongue toolbox
Misc. stuff like D-rings or a couple hundred deck screws for those redecking a trailer, etc.

Yes, I know, you are a dumbass, and not all of us can be as ugly as you. Oh, and yes, I'll have to start a build thread on your buggy. Hoping to have it done for the Tin Bender Clean-Up at the end of April if the USMC isn't stationed there by then. "The Family Truckster" hahahahaha

wheelin66bronco 03-06-2008, 07:29 AM Nice to see you back Aaron. I called you for help when my mother-in-law's trailer smoked a bearing last year in Redding, she didn't take my advise to take it to you but I appreciated your advise anyway. Sorry to hear about your situation, I'm about to go through the big "D" myself and just hoping it's not going to be messy.
Keep your head up, I know it's hard but all you got is the future ahead of you!

I do need to hit the trail. I got to keep my buggy and I got the Jeep, so I can't use "I don't have a top and I'm cold" excuse anymore. Oh, and yeah, shoot me a PM and let me know the style you're looking for.
Glad you're back Aaron! Sorry to hear about your troubles. I'll be sending some business your way ;)
Thank you sir. Can't wait to see you all back at the Cantina this year. Without the ex I might be able to actually have some fun.

Yes I did sir. Freaking awesome. Had it for about a week now and have worn it twice already. The day I wore it to work was great. The customers thought it was hilarious. And thank you for your support. Let me know if there is anything else that we can do for you.
Thanks for all the support everyone. Hey, I'm working on a couple new sales things right now. Thinking something like minor "DIY" trailer kits. Just axles, suspension, tires, coupler and jack. Lights could be worked into the deal, depending on what you wanted. I'll be posting those soon in the vendor/misc. section.
Thanks again,
Aaron

Yeah, you'll have to resend them. Sorry, but my ex new my password and I'm pretty sure that she is the one that deleted them all since my PM's were pretty much empty.

Looks like a good way to secure a load to the e-track, but I question the wood screws' ability to secure the e-track to whatever it's screwed to.

A lot of the time those wood looking screws are self tappers that also go through the crossmembers.
91blaze 03-07-2008, 03:25 PM yup aaron helped us with that selection too. The screws are specific wood to metal self tappers that are like 4" long into the crossmembers. There's crossmembers every 8" or so. In between cross members we also put large wood screws around the area we'll be tying down too.
AERONUTT 03-07-2008, 08:35 PM Aaron, good to see you've got a positive attitude about the "D". Anything you can do to make it easier on the kids is worth it even if it means being nice to her occasionally. :barf:
If you need some help with setting up a rockin' professional web site send me a PM. I've got serious computer guys working for me that love moonlight jobs after work. These guys could really hook you up for some massive mail order business! All I need in return is a free trailer. :D
