: 89 tpi 350 wiring diagram?
Rock Ape 03-06-2008, 03:47 PM I just pulled a 350 tpi out of an 89 iroc and the wiring doesnt seem too bad to just thin out and make my own stand alone harness. But does anyone know of a good write up or f-body board to get a good diagram for this job??(I still have the whole car in case I forgot to pull something critical)
And also what external fuel pump is good for this engine??E-2000??
Thanks in advance!
PS.I know I can buy an affordable fuel injection harness but believe this shouldnt take me too long to do myself.....

Check the FI forum over at the Binderbulletin for ALL the info you need.
Liked you mentioned it isnt that bad. I won't ever buy a harness.
Wish ya luck!!

Yeah thats the airtex e-2000,but I thought you had to put a low pressure pump before those in this application if the pump wasnt below the fuel tank output??
SATAN 03-10-2008, 08:00 PM you can use an extra pump if the e-2000 is above your fuel tank. also the ecm pinout you need is in the chilton manual for the camaro or contact me and i can furnish instructions

KyTrash 03-13-2008, 07:50 AM I thought all Iroc cars were TPI ( tunnel port injection),not TBI (throttle body injection)? But I have been wrong before.:D Sorry I had clicked on the chevythunder link and saw it was for a tbi truck.

TPI,TBI.......... I missed it also.
Sorry guys!!!
MrWillys 03-13-2008, 06:25 PM The best site for TPI IMHO is www.chevythunder.com . My site at www.scotthansen.net can help with your programming needs. Do it yourself, or I can give you a hand. Check out the links page!
You'll have to have the VATS (vehicle anti theft system) programmed out. Make sure and run VSS (vehicle speed sensor), or it'll die in deceleration situations. Some try to turn up the idle speed, but it still won't solve the problem completely.
Once you go injection you'll never go back. Just make sure and turn off the key if it goes rubber up.

Yeah once I get the harness sorted out,I figured I was gonna need a custom chip since all of the unwanted smog was gonna be removed(air injection, egr, evap)and headers added with an o2 sensor bung welded in.I currently have a bunch of rigs that are injected...but I bought harnesses and had fastchips reflash the ecu's.
I may hit you up for info if I get stuck or just want a custom chip burned!!!Thanks for the info!!!
