I think the way it's usually stated is that IFS S-10's Don't flex. That looks like a SAS to me. Looks good anyway.

they are a conglomoration of shit that I spent to much time and money on, in that pic/ the current and final set the main leave is a 52in eye to eye out of a late 70's camaro rear, the third is a leaf made by a local leaf shop, the rest is left overs from a set I bought from stagewest 4x4, seven leafs in all up front!

My brother got a 88 Blazer, 4.3, auto, new brakes, tranny, and etc. shit for free. SO I want to SAS the sucker. I was eyeballing some YJ springs that I have laying around, but is the 56" spring crutial? The YJ springs are only around 46" long. Finding a longer main would be much of a problem, though.

I have heard of so many diffrent springs run under them, guys use rear s10s, I have heard of lots of diffrent types and lengths, the only thing is the rear shackle placement, if you have the shackle at the rear of the front spring, the frame rails bend inward, so some creativity might be needed to get it all straight, I have seen many trucks with short springs, but they tend to be mounted below the frame and give the truck a whole lot of lift, most the short ones I have seen have been on mud only trucks. I have a D30 Id sell ya cheap if your serious, its got 4.11s in it too!!!

I'll give you your props pdaddy. You did a great job on your rig.

Shake them haters off. You have to be a real prick to put down someones ride, or to question their parts selections. I HATE it when people see my truck and immediatly start askin' why this and why that. It is your truck, and as long as you are happy with the result... that is all that matters. :smokin:

Does your rear end flex just as well as the front?

Pics?

rear is stock springs (springover) with an add-a-leaf, and I run revolvers on the rear, it does well, but the front just works alot better, I am goin to link the rear when I find fullsize running gear. In its current configuration its pretty tough to lift a tire around Kansas, flat as state's really suck!!!!!!

Where abouts do you live in KS? Where do you wheel? It is about a 10 hour drive from Topeka KS to the Badlands. When are you coming this way?

its kinda like this, but not really cause my holes are drilled to fit my springs and such, and mine is shorter in the front instead of hanging down so far, I didnt want it smackin rocks and all and it hangs down alot the way its made out in this diagram,

how important is the spring pad width issue? How wide is the D30 from a YJ that u guys normally use for a SAS? If someone say had a D44 with a springpad width of 32" (center pin to center pin) would this require fab of all the brackets? What do u think of the stage west kit???????? I have a friend that can pick up a cherry 93 4 door for cheap, what do u think???

Stage West no longer makes an SAS kit for the S10. A company called Fabritech ( www.setstr8.com ) has just completed a bolt-on kit that will use coil springs. Prices range from $2250 on up. They start with a 7" lift, and also have a 10" lift. They just took the first orders this week, so no one really knows what the kit looks like up close. They say that the bracketry will hold up to the abuse of a Dana 60 if you wanted to snag an axle set-up for a TJ.

Hey darrell, hows your coming along, I already changed it since 4th of july, it doesnt have any bumpers on it right now, and I cut the rear behind the wheels off from the bottom of the black molding down  I also cut the front fenders alot, and Im building wrap around tube bumpers front and rear, I, not goin to be able to take it to b
