Oh, I don't know, I'm building a truggy right now and finding it to be great fun.

Now, let's have some more pics, of either this one or the one under construction.

I see you've become quite proficient at your location lighting!

Nice images...nice truck!

Thanks! I kicked my self when I got there as I left 2 Pocket Wizards at home, and could'nt do some other stuff I had in mind - I wanted to put a light inside the cab, and another with a sort of rim lighting shining back at me.

Getting there slowly! :-)

That's funny. Luv the Pocket Wizards. Just remember to have extra cords. I've gotten to a job and forgotten the cords and was screwed even though I had the PW's.

Is that your Canon? Looks like images from a 5D.

Looks good...couple of questions:
1. No spreader bar between the A-pillar Exos? why not?
2. What spring rate you guys running out back?

RRC's are so passe. Tomcat pics please!

As for the photog critique, what did you do to give the sky that grey morbid look? Around here its blue, which tends to clash with certain color schemes. That grey is a nice neutral.

If we did a photo shoot in Portland that's what it'd look like.

I'm no use on the why's of that truck, it's not mine, I'm only taking the photo's! That said, it's a pretty good truck - I've competed against it in the past. I've not seen him on those tyres yet, the rest of us are on Simex.

I'll be doing a Tomcat photoshoot in the coming months, I'll post up when I do.

Camera stuff: Close Mike, but no cigar. It's a 1dMIII, and a 17-40mm lens. The camera is a 1.3 crop factor, so it looks closer to full frame than a 1.6 crop, so that was a good guess!. As to the grey sky, that's the color it is over here. About 2 or 3 days per year it goes a funny blue color, and we all run and hide as there is a large yellow thing that hurts our eyes. Dont see it that much.... To get the grey from the sky, underexpose the shot by a stop or so, then hit the subject with light to bring it back to a good exposure. If you do this with a blue sky, you get a super deep blue, but I've never had a chance to try that, I can only dream :-)

Oh - And thanks for the nice comments on the photo's!. I'm getting more into the photography side of things than the driving side of off roading. Expect to see more over the year.
