I'm stripping duracoat off an upper receiver and a slide. Whats more effective bead blasting or paint/varnish remover(the stuff I have eats epoxy paint, but the fumes will kill you)

EEEh just finished stripping the slide with the paint/varnish remover. It worked really well when combined with a small bronze brush I had. I guess I won't be going to HF to pick up a mini bead blaster.

But you need that little hopper blaster anyway. It's great for small projects.

Whats the name of the stripper?

I used this stuff

http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a332/projecttheory/Gun%20Stuff/Remover.jpg

Its in gel / goo form and evaporates semi-fast. The caution on the side of use in well ventilated area is no joke. I just about burned out my sinuses with this stuff

How old was the DC?
I am trying to remove some stuff I did about 6 months ago and the chemicals are not working.

The stuff I was stripping was only a week old. I work on an upper I have tomorrow. The upper I have has been DC'd for about 9 months
