I'm running a "3-row high-eff" from Hughes.. $250-ish, and it just clears the clutch fan in my Scout (couple small nicks in the fins from the clutch)

My neighbor is a radiator guy.. he's handling the 3-row recore for my Travelette.. the new rad showed up yesterday.. with a big hole from UPS in it. Should have another Friday...

What about an aluminum one? Afco-Racing has them for cheap.

BTW, could that guy look you in the face when he said $389? ..Fawk, I think I only paid $300 for my 5 core triple pass one...and the entire thing was custom built...not even used tanks!

Hugh's is the place. 4 core for $300 to my door. If you want cheap, then I'm sure I have one or two hanging around the shop in Stockton. I'm heading up there this weekend (Old Scout's house). They're used of course, and I'm not sure of their condition. You can come by and check 'em out if you want. How's $30 sound?

Uhm, two things, that beitch is going to be a tight fit. You may need to go the same route as me and switch to a fixed fan. Also requires changing the water pump.

Also follow up with Hugh on the order. There were some problems with mine that delayed the order until I called to confirm information.

My Hugh's 4 core fit my '80 w/ fan clutch. It's tight, but I have beefy motor mounts that don't let the motor bounce around like the stock pos's.

No fan clutch to worry about and the fan has a spacer that I can machine down if necessary :)

Thanks for the offer :) If something happens with Hugh's, I might just take you up on it!

Now I just need a fan shroud. Does anyone have one they want to part with?

I'll bring the mold over tonight. It looks like it might actually work. I need to lay another layer of glass, then split it in half. Test fit, and add the mounting tabs and it'll be ready.

OSH and ACE both sell fiberglass cloth and resin.

Cool! I'd like to see it :) I thought of making one out of sheet metal or maybe even that plastic you can use to make boarders for your grass. It's 3" wide and very flexible. I just don't know how I'd mount it

I have one (I have one of everything...hehehe) Do you have a body lift on that thar thing, cus it probably won't work with a body lift. I run a 1.5" body lift and a "diesel" shroud cut to fit.:rasta:

It does have a 2" body lift. I may be able to make it work. How much do you want for it?

I might even have one that is broken in two. You could bolt it up to the original holes and glass in the span between the two pieces. You could have that for free!:D How much is a good shroud worth? Maybe a good supply of Sierra Nevada  I should be up at Bob's either friday late or saturday early.

Sounds great! Unfortunately, I'm going to be out of town until Sunday afternoon. Could you leave it with Bob? I could pick it up next week and drop of a 12 pack of Sierra Nevada of your choice.

Let me know :)

Thanks!
