DoetschTech. Summit Racing. soft 3000 series for like 28 a piece.
slightly firmer 8000 series 35 a piece. great shock cheap price. you can go to their website to check out sizes and other stuff they got Doetsch Tech Shocks (http://doetsch-shocks.com) Looks like they just came out with a new multi valve shock now too. I think they are the best bang for the buck myself.;)

that's what i run... you can also ask for the "eliminator" if they are out of stock. They are the same shock.

Most vendors valve shocks differently for different applications. Realize that a RS9000 for a Chevy full size is going to boing differently than a RS9000 for a Toyota mini-truck, even if the mounting eyes/pins and/or length are different or the same.

Comparing shocks valved differently is an apples/oranges comparison -- going cross-brand makes it full-on fruit salad. You have to hold ONE of these variables constant to have a meaningful comparison, IMHO.

Doestech DT3000's are like $32/ea
Rancho RS5000's $35/ea
Skyjacker Hydros $35/ea
Trailmaster SSV $40/ea
AutoZone Gabriel Gas Ryders $20/ea (OK, maybe not)

Just get the specs (compressed/extended lengths and mounting style) from their web sites as to which model # you need. After converting all the mounts on my XJ, I don't even know what these shocks are supposed to be used for.
