i have a 460 and need a trans.
i know i cant use a c-6 from behind a 4.9, 302 or 351w.
so i need to look for a 351m, 400, or 460 truck.
i was just told that i cant use one from behind a 7.3 or 6.9. was told the bolt pattern is different. i thought they were the same. just how different is it?
i found one that was with a 6.9 for a good deal. everything else locally that i have found was behind a small block or was 2wd.

you need one from a 351m- 400- 429- 460 -

the small blocks ( winsor ) 289-302-351 - 300six

the FE / FT 360-390-410-427-428

the diesel - 6.9 - 7.3
