: Seats Are Finally Mounted...
TxCruzr 07-10-2002, 03:52 PM I've had the driver seat mouted for a month or so but finally got the passenger one mouted about a week ago. Installed the Simpson 5pts this morning before the last trip without p/s:D.
I'm going to be like Nolen now with no cruiser, but at least he has a 55 and his tires...knew I shoulda kept the tires:flipoff2:...
While its in the shop it'll be getting P/S, RedNeck Hydro Assist, Welded Rear, and front LockRight...I'm gonna drive around parking next to stuff and nocking it over by turning the wheel:D

(the seats are mounted different distances from the front because you try to by 6'4 and fit behind that big steering wheel:flipoff2:)
wngrog 07-10-2002, 03:59 PM Looks great! You are gonna love the hydro assist!
It is going to turn those 35s like they don't exist!
We will be in Mason on the 27-28th, come ride with me...
TxCruzr 07-10-2002, 07:24 PM Mason
thats going to be awsome....go there alot with school and stuff and just along the side of the road there would be some awsome climbs...
I might just have to take you up on that...I might be at a tennis tournament on the 27th but if your out there both days then I could meet you on the 28th. I'm not sure if thats when it is or not though. I'm going to be up in your neck of the woods this weekend at a tornament.
If it makes the 35s turn too easy I'll do the smart thing and get some 38s :D

BJ On Roids 07-10-2002, 07:39 PM ok......ive finally bit the bullet:
what sort of jeep are those flares off?
TJ/YJ isnt it?
what years?
anything special i need to do to them, or get them off in one piece?
just got to find a jeep guy, buying aftermarket wider ones or something? now!! they look good too!!
cheers
TxCruzr 07-10-2002, 08:15 PM their off of a TJ(any year, not sahara)...got them from Nolen and now he has another pair so he most have a good contact. These flairs are probably the only jeep thing work putting on a cruiser. Just find a TJ and un bolt them nothing special.

Actnjacksn 07-10-2002, 08:23 PM will the cruiser(40) rearend hold up with a welded diff? I wanted to do this but wasent sure that it would last very long.
Sean
BJ On Roids 07-10-2002, 08:26 PM i had a welded diff for months and drove it hard...street and offroad.....and that thing held up, the only thing i ever did, was wear my tyres down pretty bad.....
Actnjacksn 07-10-2002, 08:42 PM ok cool...so you think it will do ok then? I would rather do that and then just buy a locker for the front.
Cool thanks, Sean
BJ On Roids 07-10-2002, 08:45 PM adds a new level to your driving experience, and you'll love the screeching as you gas it around corners....... the driving in the wet can give you a fright especially with big lift and big horsepower, you'll be out of control quickly, so just take it easy until you are confident with it
its fun if you havea shagged or spare diff, just try it and see what you think......
texican 07-11-2002, 05:35 AM How do you access the fuel tank now?
We are going to do something very similar to Dusty's cruiser, next week.......
Butch
Eskimo 07-11-2002, 05:44 AM Jackson, my cruiser guy welded up his lock-right after not being terribly pleased with it, and it's been like that for a few years now.. You do realize how BIG a FJ diff is, right? :D
He's not exactly kind to his 40 either.. stood it up on the back tires on Helicopter pad at Tellico while twisting the rear springs..
TxCruzr 07-11-2002, 06:52 AM Well to get to the gas tank you get at least 4 big friends and lift the cage out...then it all yours:D
For a cage that is so small its heavy:eek:
IF Nolen's welded rear held up for him, then none of us have a worry:D

Actnjacksn 07-11-2002, 02:12 PM bad ass... sounds like I have a plan to spend more money:D
