when the back tires are spinning is the front driveshaft spinning as well when the transfer case is in 4wd?

Does it have a front driveshaft?

Ok, if the back tires are spinning and the front drive shaft is spinning, but the front tires are not spinning. (( assuming the hubs are in fact locked in )) Something is broken.

Front hubs, front ring and pinion, front axle shafts all come to mind. Find some one to pull it out, take it home and tear it apart.
If you have doubts about this task, take it to a shop and have them do it.

Paying some one thats qualified to do this, is better than having a broken pile of truck in your driveway...
