Did you get those zip-ties and wire nuts from Currie? I heard that Avalanche makes the best electrical tape. Who did the custom airbrushing along the top of your dash? Looks just like real rust! Nothing else needed. voltmeter- you'll KNOW when the battery is dead tachometer- if the valves are floating let off a little bells and whistles- just more clutter. 4Bangler 07-12-2002, 09:23 AM When steam and water start puking out from under the hood, it's too hot, ditch the temp guage, when it starts knocking you're low on oil, ditch the oil pressure guage, when it sputters to a stop it could be a lot of things, better have a gas guage to eliminate that, oh yeah, and an inclinometer, can't even drive without one of those. I came across a broke down Jeep on a trail about three years ago, he said the engine just stopped, and wouldn't turn over any more, later he added that it had stalled two or three times, was clunking a lot, and he had been sitting there for two hours wondering what to do. I looked inside and he had every guage in the autometer catalog, an nice liquid filled ones at that, no he wasn't out of gas, it ended up that he knocked a hole in his oil filter, ran it out of oil, over heated it, spun some bearings, and siezed the motor. He couldn't tell me what his oil pressure, water temp, oil temp, trans temp, fuel press, volts, or RPM's were, even though he had all of those guages mounted in a custom panel, all backlit a matching color, hell, I think he had exhaust temp and vacuum guages too. All the bling bling guages in the world don't mean a thing if you don't look at them, but he did have a pretty Jeep. Sundowner 07-12-2002, 09:28 AM water temp and oil pressure.
