AFAIK diff locks never standard except on the 97 anniversary model.......available on all 93-97. I think the lockers were standard on the Lexus LX450
center diff lock standard on all, some switched and some integral with the 4 lo

So 93-97 fj? landcruisers had all three locks and the 97 anniversary had diff locks. What is the difference?

I have not followed Texican's links, but something to be aware of is that many sellers are not at all well versed in terminology and features of their vehicles. Many were purchased purely as SUV status symbols; "I'll take the blue one" or "is it loaded with all the options?" etc. I have heard several people comment that they went to check out an 80 series and the seller had no idea about the diff locks (they never pushed that button to the right of the steering column! (or whereever it is). IIRC, all have the T-case lock.

So it is worth familiarizing yourself with the location of the factor diff lock switch and checking out the vehicles with your own eyes. You never know what you might find!

Good luck,

Andy

The Magic button is the rotary switch just left of the steering column, marked "diff lock"! The central diff lock is avalable in all the 80s with a little wiring skill.
