: Anyone running water misters on their rig ?
Chopperman 07-10-2002, 10:36 PM I just finished instaling water misters in my rig and man let me tell you it's nice. However, I am running them off my windshield washer pump and Im worried about it burning up from running too long. So I was wondering if anyone else is running them to keep cool on the trail and how you did it. Another thought I had was running them off my OBA tanks with a regulator and a bigger water tank. Anyway just thought I would ask...
ukjeeper 07-10-2002, 10:44 PM Water Misters....??
Hmmm, i wonder if i'd get TOO cold using those with my AC....:flipoff2: :D
Albino Man 07-10-2002, 11:18 PM I don't think the leather seats in my '69 bronco would like the moisture to much:flipoff2:
SeanP 07-10-2002, 11:38 PM I just strap my wife to the hood with a spray bottle.
Actually, I have thought of doing this. Evaporative cooling works very well with the RV crowd. I don't see a problem with using your windshield pump. You won't be running it continuously, just spray, wait 20-30 seconds, spray, wait 20-30 seconds.
Of course, if you are thinking of this route, you must have some serious heat issues. Have you gone thru the whole littany of possible heat issues? What are you running? Electric fan on a manual switch? Fan shroud in place for the mech fan? Air in the cooling system? (Ask me how I know this shit)

Old Scout 07-10-2002, 11:43 PM A 5 gal soda keg full of ICE water and an air supply from OBA would be slick.

RHINO 07-11-2002, 07:01 AM hey smartass, thats pretty good thinkin except,,, if your warm and want something to cool you off your probly sweating a little, so your face would be a little wet, huh??
