Come down here and do some riding and you'll see why I built it this way.
I guarantee I don't break another damn Birfield.

I checked your www address and saw that you were at ERoCC. Why not bring that out. I spot for team 106 in the unlimited (black stretched TJ) and the June event was much more difficult than April. It should challenge you.

6 axles in one year was enough for me to go to Waggy axles

Waggy's. Birfeilds aren't good for anything but cool"look at what I broke, again" pics. Like the one above. Hell, in my opinion, I even got sick of breaking 44 joints. 60's all the way.

Waggy axles are offset passenger side.
Toys are centered rear.

Personal preferance on which is better.
Lots of pros and cons of each.

do a search on the topic, and you will find loads of info.

I've been to both of the events and I've watched you and Buddy.
Kevin Mize is a friend of mine and I've been going down there and helping him out.
I kind of feel like Kevins rig is a little too big for serious competition and mine is basically the same except for a 3" shorter wheelbase, and a little bit lighter.
I've only had it up and running for a little over a month and I still have some things to do to it...twin stick the 205, add a 203 doubler, and put line locks on the brakes so I can lock them up individually. And get it painted!

Bulldozer rocks (Kevin I mean :D) You guys may not do the best points wise but it's sweet to watch him when he spanks every climbing obstacle. I think you should do it. Sh!t you've got 2 weeks to twin-stick the 205 and add the doubler if you really want it. That's plenty of time :D. Kevin coming back again? I'll be spotting in Legends this time because Buddy's wife is very pregnant and can't make it.

Yea I had heard that Buddy wasn't going to be able to make it this time. Thats too bad.
Kevin is coming again, he's rebuilding his suspension so that maybe it won't break this time. 500 horsepower and low, low gearing tend to be hard on parts.
I'm going to be rooting for you this time because you need to KICK BETTIO'S FAT ASS ! :mad2: :mad3:

Yup. My buddy sheared a 9-inch rear axle clean in two just inboard of the drum...
http://home.off-road.com/~mithrandir/trails/04-28-02/1119.JPG

It was in a 91 Explorer. I know, I know, they don't come with 9 inches. But they don't come with HP44 fronts or 36" TSLs either.

ive wheeled with that big black sammy on 44s,and its the shit.
he walked everything on stagecoach in monteagle in the rain where other trucks were pulling cable. He built his truck because he broke 7 birfields in one year. One was the day of his wedding on guardrail in tellico.

Thats a full size zuki. Wow! Those are some monster meats. I think it looks cool. Not very practical where I live though (tight spots between trees). You should take a pic next to a full size truck to give us a size difference. I bet that thing would stand up to one.

How about this Sammi. He has a GM 350 and Unimog 406 axles, which are quite a bit stonger than 2.5T axles. He also has about 22" of differential clearance on 44" Intercos. He also has 4 wheel steering, and hydraulic joystick controlled suspension.

Hey Station

Where is that guy from? I think I have seen that truck before somewhere. Seem like he was from Sweden or Finland, something like that.

That is Petri Mattson from Finnland. I have posted pictures of it here before, so maybe that is where you saw it?

Probably, I'm glad that you posted that because I think that is where I got the idea to do mine. (I wish I could say it was an original idea :p )
I figured if he could do it, I could do it.
