: BHCC Cancelled....Plan B?

Been chatting with a couple folks, thinking of ideas for a trail ride weekend since BHCC is not having trail rides....

1) Attica, however it conflicts with the ERoCCS and some of those I'd like to see won't be around (300 miles for me)

2) Disney OK, tho I'm not sure on access and availability and whatnot (830 miles for me)

3) Paragon PA, tho I would have much rather been there this weekend for the CMCC event, plus I was "just" there over Mem weekend (870 miles for me)

Any opinion/thoughts/etc?? Anything else of interest going on in the MidWest, within a 600-800 mile drive for me??

Woody, Disney is a killer place to wheel. Plus it's only 2 hours from me :D I have a link that gives a little info and some contact numbers. Check it out...

Bummer!!!

We had hoped for BHCC to be our one TCLA event this year, but as it was I would have been the Lone LoneStar Cruiser to show... just looked like a blast! (My FJ40 come down from MN, so would have been cool to have meet the seller in Person!)

With the house move, shop build, and other things... actually better off staying home this year.

For those wondering what happened to BHCC, check out their web site here (http://www.dakotacruisers.com/firstpage.htm)

My vote would be for Disney.

Black Hills: 800 miles from Appleton
Disney: 800 Miles from Appleton

There must be a reason why these distances are equal.

Must go to Disney...

Just got off the phone with Brian. Looks like Attica it is.

Disney will have to wait.

You can get a big Texas turnout for a Disney trip....when will you be up for another boondoggle?

Let's set it up!

er, when will you be running? :flipoff2: lol

personally, my summer now is pretty booked up...and next summer is filling quick. BHCC 2003 (830 miles) and Slade KY (club run, 620 miles) are the two biggies, with the usual jaunts to Attica for a "quick" (300 mile) fix. Let's see....probably early May for Slade, June for Attica, July for BHCC, August for Attica, Sept is a couple charity rides, Oct is Attica...

OK...July BHCC is the ONLY fixed one right now....is a holiday too much to ask, for vacation-day purposes??? IE: 4th, Mem, or Labor? (either Mem or Labor is an event in IA too...hhhmmmmm)

I need a job with open vacation time and unlimited travel funds....anyone??

What you Yankees seem to forget about us Southerners is that we START wheeling in September and usually stop in June!

You need to make a Disney run this winter when you are socked in up there!

Not sure if Disney is the destination location you are looking for, we need to make it Poteau!

Nolan--

After doing some research on Poteau, that place looks like super steep inclines of clay with rocks spread around here and there. Is this correct? If it is, we can get plenty of that around here. Disney looks to be pretty tough if you want it to be. My concern is, will it keep us busy for three days?

Look forward to setting up a joint ride. Don't know about Brian, but a few of us will be looking for a trip near Labor Day. If not then, later in the fall. A trip to someplace warm during the winter would also be good.

Please let us know more about Poteau. What is the terrain like?
