I am on a quest for information. I don't exactly understand valving and all on shocks, so I'm coming to those who do. What is typically the fastest your coilover/air shock will compress? assuming a constant rate (no bypass), if you lets say jumped a baja truck, how fast would the shock let it compress with an average valving? Thanks in advance guys.... And maybe the few gals I've ever seen here.

that is a very open ended question.
In the desert it is possible to see 200 inches per second of upward velocity at the wheel. Depending on the motion ratio and shock placement the piston rod could see the same velocity or one much slower.
Jumping would not see the highest velocities. Sharp square edged events would allow for higher shaft and wheel velocities.

Yeah I realize that it is kind of broad. I guess I'll just have to work with some broad numbers. I'm just trying to get an idea of how fast the suspension travels.
