Thats one heck of an air cleaner on there........ :D
These old Broncos are cool, you can get parts anywhere. The short wheel base will be a rough ride. Build it and post a build thread!!

We can get it for $400. Me and the guy in the pics are thinking of going in on it. Would need to find fuel cell, radiator, front clip and driveshafts for starters

I would spend some time on the cage also. It could use some more bracing.

for $400, it might not be too bad if the engine runs and trans shifts.

Yeah, if the motor and tranny are decently sound, jump on it. Itll make a sweet class 3 with some work.

Certain parts on EBs are worth their weight in gold.
The factory power steering box
The factory C4 auto
and the Dana 44 front axle.

I couldn't tell from the pics what it had for sure, but it looked like a d44 rig, and it had the factory ps on it. That'd make it worth at least $1000 in parts with the right buyers.
The cage could use some work, but at least it is there. And it looks like a decent seat in it, and I think I saw a grill in the back. The battery is already located to the back too. It needs the quarter panels braced before they fall off, though.

I don't recognize that rig, but it might have quit racing in the Powell area before i started in 94, or maybe I just didn't make the races it went to. That's a long time to sit.

For $400, it is hard to beat an EB for tough trucks and short tight tracks. Light, easy to build power, easy to make it take single big hits nicely. They don't do as well on heavy washboard or whoops. It's just a wb thing. You can make them much better with good shocks, bumps, etc.
I know they can work well at the Powell track, and at BMP in Billings. Even Acton to an extent, although a longer wb rig works better there.

Snap it up and ask around for parts. Mike Jongeling (Mike's Off Road) in Bozeman has a bunch of parts for Ebs. Even some raceable front clips, I think. He likes helping racers get going.

Good luck and have fun with it! I think it is a heck of a deal for $400.

yeah this is Everts old rig that used to race in Powell. I'll have to ask Mike about some parts too, I think he is planning on coming to our memorial day race. Basically we wanna race Powell obviously (I'm the president of the club here) and maybe Acton a few times.

Everett's old truck? Holman?
By the time I met Everett he was running flatfenders with sbc power, mostly drags.

Cascade is having a rally on Memorial Day too. Dang. They usually can't run Labor Day because of fire danger. Any way you guys can run Labor Day instead? I'd like to make both races, but I committed to Memorial in Cascade. If you have another race in Powell I'll be there, though.
Sorry!

Yeah we are going to do a mud bog, obstacle and baja on memorial and planning at least a baja/obstacle on labor day too and hopefully one in between them.

Never seen this turn out well....

EB's seem to be realy popular around here. As Blair said Jongeling should have most everything you need. Otherwise Mike Kelly in Helena is another good ford parts source.

Edit: I would also pop all pans and turn the motor over before you lay down any $$. Seen many guys get a "stored inside" motor home only to find the pistons rusted solid.

There are 4 races set for Acton (just outside Billings), too. I have a friend in your area that has a Scout II he races from time to time, and comes over to Great Falls to race, and is looking forward to a trip to Powell this year.

who is that? I also have Mike Swansons old class 3 scout as well. Would be awesome to meet up with a fellow scout racer in this area.
