binderbasher 03-18-2008, 12:00 AM Question is can you take the axles and outers from a 8 lug 14 bolt semi float axle and trade out with six lugs from same axle model? A guy has a 14 bolt semi float with six lugs and 3.42 gears, and a 14 bolt semi float with eight lugs and 4.10 gears. I want the 4.10 gears but six lug bolt pattern. Is this a go, or no. Thanks measure lengths, the wheel bearings should be the same. swap out brake assy's if youre not too sure, too.
