One of my Scout (27 spline outer axle) locking hubs is broken, or actually the little plastic ring that is threaded on the inside / little 1/2 round cutouts on outside, and pushes the locking ring in to lock the hub when roatated to lock in. You guys know what I'm talking about. Anyone have one (or a hub) I can buy or can direct me to a source. I'm also curious about back up drive flanges. Any info? I think they are around 1977 or so axles.
Thanks

Scout front Dana 44's are 30 spline on the inner shafts and 27 spline on the outers. We have Warn hubs in stock - http://www.shopih.com/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=ION&Product_Code=WARN-9062&Category_Code=

drive flanges?
Some people call them slugs.
But, since he has external hubs, not gonna work.

Why wouldn't external drive-flanges work with an external-wheel-hub design like the stock SII front ends?
CJ7s with QuadraTrac used 'em, why can't we? :D

Its been so long since I played with those hubs. Isn't the dial bolted to the hub? Then the hub is bolted to the wheel hub? What holds the flange in, Just the snap ring on the axle shaft?
Or are you talking about removing the entire locking hub assembly and bolting on a plate that is splined on the inside and bolt pattern on the outside? Like the really old IH trucks used?

Drive flange would be the latter. Really, drive slugs like you were recommending.
IIRC they exist for the 27-spline external Dana applications, and the CJ7 with QuadraTrac used 'em.
No where near as common as the 19-spline Dana 44 stuff. Those are EASY to come by.
