Someone mentioned to me that my cage won't hold up in a forward roll.
Anyone got any ideas on how I could improve the strength of the cage to withstand forward roll's better?? Not that I plan to roll much, but better to be safe than sorry.

that looks better, i would leave the red one by the windshield but the rear red one wont do much i agree. im sure once the day crew sees this you will get alot more input, especially since a pic is attached ;)

ya, i like the front red one too. I think I might try to tuck it up a bit more though.

Triangulation is your friend. :D

:D I'm not an expert (or am I? :D) people just seem to like my cages. anyways I'd just add the door bar and in the upper front bend I like the gussets but make them out of smaller diameter and angle them in so they'll serve as hand holds.
if you are really concerned about strength your best bet is to buid an under dash cross bar and a console off of that that ties into the door bars and link those all across so you can mount your seats to it. then tie it into the frame at 6 normal points. then after you think it's really strong go from the front of the cage through the dash along the fender line and tie into a front nose pick and link some shock towers into it which follow then inside of the hood and go up and over the motor to the other side. now we're talking strength/overkill. your cage looks good...I wouldn't worry

You could just buy a stinger bumper (competiton) from avalanche and you wouldnt ever have to worry about flipping over forwards.

yea that will do it
Those things are dumb I think, now when you lean forward it catches and throws you over! Suppose it depends on how big it is but I have seen some funky sheite! Besides, the guy can bend, why would be BUY one?

unless your planning on doing 165 mph cartwheels, i wouldnt get crazy with gussets or triangulation. one triangle in your 6 pt. cage will add enough strength. it is all welded together and not bolted ,correct? use at least .120 wall. i use .134 wall in my main hoop and tie it in w/ .120wall on the stringers and door bars.

Sillyneck - how hard was the 5.0 swap? I found one out of a 93 mustang that a guy might sell. how much is a decent price that he may ask and how hard will it be to fit in my 94 YJ?
