: Shackle hanger swap

Check out these pics. I fixed my buddies timing, and then he told me about his shackle hangers. He had new ones, so I put them on for him. Never seen any so bad. Whats crazy is the body has no a spot of rust on it, and everywhere else is really clean. All told only took about two hours total for both sides. Nothing new for me, done shackle flips before, so this was a breeze.

Go to love the rust! I know that is the way the shackles are installed from the factory, but I had to turn mine around so that they wouldn't bind on the leaf at full stuff.

Yeah i just put them on the way they were. Its just his work truck so its doesnt matter.

just crappy metalurgy. my 89's were the same way, but the 88's (from the same area) were in perfect shape. Ford got a bad batch of them or got a good batch I guess.
