OK anyone have suggestions for headers that will work for me? Something that doesn't break the bank would be nice. It's an 89 suburban 1500 with manual trans (SM465) that I am putting a 97 model 7.4 (454) into. I'm concerned about the collector interfering with the clutch slave cylinder on the driver's side if I use long tubes. Thanks.

Edelbrock makes some shorties, so do other manufacturers. Go to www.summitracing.com, use the search function there, report back.
This is the nicest reply you will get, so be good.
EDIT: I'm going to either get the Edelbrocks, or similar and have them coated here. The longer tubed deals don't do anything for my powerbands. :D

I looked through the summit site and you can't search on suburban 1500 with a 454. I did however find full length headers for a 3/4 ton truck with a 454/7.4 and manual trans. They were hedman 69390. Those should be here soon so I will see how they work. If they work maybe I will get them coated...
