when you buggy guys mounted your steering columns to your cages... what was the practice in sleeving the steering shaft? Did you put a plate braket on the center bar and the weld a sleeve of tubing up to the steering coupler or what?

Have I not made the question clear enough? I know people like Chris Geiger, Lance, Welderboy?, etc., etc. are all running setup like this... I want to see some more detailed pictures on how these buggies setup their steering shaft in the columns. I currently have a bare shaft in an oversized Heim joint and would like a more refined setup...something that is more steering column, less dirt track car.

Here ya go. 1.5" x .120" wall tube with two Delrin bushings. Shaft is ¾” cold rolled.
Hex piece is part of a Wilwood quick release.
